Rainstorm Approaching Northern Ghana

A rainstorm approaching the northeastern flank of the country from the border of Togo and Benin is expected to produce thunderstorms and rain of varying intensities over places along its path. The rainstorm is expected to affect Upper East, North East and Northern regions initially within the next hour before moving westwards to affect Upper West,Savannah, Oti and Bono East regions. Strong winds are likely to accompany the storm.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions during the storm. Seek shelter during heavy rain and lightning, avoid open areas and isolated trees, and exercise caution while driving due to poor visibility and slippery roads.
