A rainstorm observed over the Oti region is expected to intensify and move westwards to affect more areas within the region and drift to the Bono East, Bono, Ahafo, Ashanti and parts of the Savannah region. Moderate to heavy rain with thunder is expected to be experienced this afternoon into the evening.

Residents in the affected areas should avoid outdoor activities and secure loose items. During the thunderstorm, stay indoors and away from windows, unplug electrical appliances to prevent damage from lightning strikes, and avoid using corded phones or electrical devices connected to outlets. If caught outdoors, seek substantial shelter immediately and never take refuge under trees during lightning activity. Drivers should exercise extreme caution by reducing speed, using headlights for visibility, and avoiding flooded sections of roadway
