ALERT: Rains Approaching Southern Ghana
southern Ghana
Rain clouds have been detected over the inland areas of Greater Accra, extending into the Eastern Region, currently bringing cloudiness and rainfall to parts of these areas. These clouds are expected to spread further across both regions and into portions of the Central and Western regions. Additionally, a separate rainstorm is being tracked as it approaches southern Ghana from the eastern Gulf of Guinea; while the bulk of the storm is anticipated to move over the ocean, there remains a possibility of rain and thunder affecting southern Ghana. This storm is expected to make its onset in the Volta Region before advancing into the Eastern, Greater Accra, and Central regions later this evening and into the night.
Residents in the affected regions, particularly those in the Volta, Eastern, Greater Accra, and Central regions, are advised to take precautionary measures ahead of the approaching rains. Avoid outdoor activities during heavy downpours, and stay clear of flooded roads and waterways. Kindly stay updated through official weather bulletins and alerts from the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet).
