ALERT: Thunderstorms Expected over Southern Ghana

Volta , Oti , Eastern , Greater Accra , Bono East , Ashanti , Central , Western

A rainstorm is approaching the Volta region from southern Benin. The storm is expected to bring moderate to heavy rains to the Volta, Oti, Eastern and Greater Accra regions tonight into dawn tomorrow. The Volta and Oti regions are expected to be affected between 9pm and Midnight. The Eastern and Greater Accra regions are expected to be affected between 10pm and 2am. The storm is likely to spread to parts of the Cental, Ashanti, Western, Bono East and Western north regions later in the night.

Residents in the affected regions are advised to take precautionary measures ahead of the approaching rains. Avoid outdoor activities during heavy downpours, and stay clear of flooded roads and waterways.
