Event Description

The rain clouds previously highlighted in the alert are now actively producing rainfall of varying intensities across southern Ghana. The distribution and concentration of these rain-bearing clouds have intensified, extending coverage to include portions of the Volta, Eastern, Ashanti, and Western North regions where significant cloud development has been observed. Between now and 7:00 PM, moderate thunderstorms are anticipated over Hohoe, Ho, Somanya, Akropong, Dodowa, Koforidua, Enchi, Juaboso, Nyinahin, Offinso, Nsuta, Techiman, and their surrounding communities. Other areas within these regions should expect similar rainfall conditions between 5:30 PM and 9:00 PM as the weather system continues to progress.

Instructions

Seek shelter indoors when thunder is heard or lightning is visible. Secure loose objects outside your home that could be blown away by strong winds. Postpone outdoor activities until the event ceases. If driving, slow down and use headlights for better visibility. Keep updated on weather alerts through the Ghana Meteorological Agency.
