CAUTION: Thunderstorms Within the Middle Sector

Bands of rain and thunder clouds have been observed within the middle sector producing moderate to heavy rains with thunder within the Eastern and Ashanti regions. These clouds are expected to spread to more areas within the aforementioned regions and into parts of the Central, Western, Western North Bono and Ahafo regions. Kumasi, Nkawie, Mankranso, Ejura, Bechem, Tepa, Kenyasi, New Edubiase, Assin Fosu, Sunyani, Nsawkaw, Sampa, Drobo, Jinijini and surroundings will be affected. These cloud bands are expected to induce cloudiness over some areas within the Greater Accra region with moderate rainfall.

Residents in all affected communities are strongly advised to stay indoors and avoid open areas during the event. Motorists should reduce speed, switch on headlights, and exercise extreme caution on roads, as reduced visibility and surface flooding are likely. Parents and guardians are urged to ensure children are safely indoors before the storms arrive.
