Dangerous Conditions At Sea (7 to 14 August 2025)

According to locally establised thresholds, it is expected that conditions from Thursday, August 7th to Sunday, August 10th, 2025 will fall into the dangerous sea state category. However, the sea condition is anticipated to fall into the rough sea state category starting Monday, August 11th.

Immediately secure all canoes by moving them to safe harbors or hauling them onto shore, and ensure all mooring systems, anchors, ropes, and chains are properly tightened. Remove or secure all loose equipment including nets, fishing gear, and fuel containers. From Wednesday, 2nd July through Thursday, 3rd July, conditions will improve to ROUGH seas, but extreme caution is still required. Marine weather users are advised to stay informed and take necessary precautions. Keep following timely updates from the Ghana Meteorological Agency for any changes that may occur.
