Localised Thunderstorms Expected Within Northern region

A band of rain and thunder clouds over the northern border of Ghana and Togo is expected to expand westward and produce rain of varying intensity with thunder and strong winds this afternoon over parts of the northern region. Separate cloud developments are also expected to produce thunder with rain of varying intensity within the Oti, Bono, Central and Western regions.

Seek shelter indoors when thunder is heard or lightning is visible. Secure loose objects outside your home that could be blown away by strong winds. Postpone outdoor activities until the event ceases. If driving, slow down and use headlights for better visibility. Keep updated on weather alerts through the Ghana Meteorological Agency.
