A moderate to heavy rainstorm observed over southern Ghana is expected to persist and spread to the west this evening into the night. The storm is anticipated to produce thunder with rain of varying intensity within the Greater Accra, Eastern, Central, Western, Ashanti and Western North regions.

Avoid going outside unless absolutely necessary. Stay indoors to protect yourself from heavy rain, thunder, and strong winds. Stay away from low-lying areas, and other flood-prone regions. Flash flooding can occur quickly. If you must travel, drive with caution. Roads may be slippery, and visibility can be reduced due to heavy rain. Avoid driving through flooded areas
