Moderate Rainstorm Warning for Northern half

Upper East , Northern East , Northern , Savannah , Oti , Bono East , Bono

The rainstorm indicated in the earlier warning has engulfed the northeastern part of the country. The storm is expected to spread to parts of the transition zone and the western parts of the northern sector. The Oti, Bono East, and Savannah regions are expected to experience rain of varying intensity with thunder between 5pm and 9pm. The Bono and Ahafo regions are expected to experience similar conditions between 6:30pm and 10pm.

Residents and motorists in the affected regions are advised to stay alert to changing weather conditions throughout the day and to avoid unnecessary travel during the peak hours of the storm where possible. Motorists should reduce speed, keep headlights on, and exercise caution on flood-prone roads. Farmers and traders are encouraged to secure crops, goods, and temporary structures. The public is urged to stay away from trees and weak structures during periods of strong wind, and to monitor official updates from the Ghana Meteorological Agency for further guidance as the storm progresses.
