A moderate rainstorm currently tracking in from Northern Benin is expected to move into Ghana's northeastern sector during the morning hours, bringing rainfall of varying intensity to the Upper East, North East and Northern regions. The system is forecast to affect the eastern part of the sector between 10:00am and 1:00pm, before drifting westward through the afternoon to reach the Upper West and Savannah regions between 11:30am and 3:00pm. Residents in these areas should expect periods of moderate to heavy rains accompanied by gusty winds, and reduced visibility.
Residents and motorists in the affected regions are advised to stay alert to changing weather conditions throughout the day and to avoid unnecessary travel during the peak hours of the storm where possible.
