Thunderstorms over Northern Ghana

Rain and thunder clouds observed over the northern border of Ghana is expected to continue its movement towards the west to affect parts of Northern Ghana. These clouds are expected to produce moderate rain with thunder within the Upper East, Northeast and Northern regions. Later, parts of the Upper West and Savannah regions are also expected to experience similar conditions.

Avoid outdoor activities during thunderstorms to reduce the risk of lightning strikes. Seek shelter in a sturdy building if you are outside when the storm begins. If you must travel, exercise caution, especially on roads prone to flooding. Drive slowly and avoid areas where water covers the road.
