Rainstorm anticipated over Volta Region

A rainstorm observed over the south of Togo is expected to continue to the west to produce rain of varying intensity with thunder within the Volta region later this afternoon. Clouds that have formed ahead of the storm will produce pockets of rain within the region before the arrival of the storm.

Avoid going outside unless absolutely necessary. Stay indoors to protect yourself from heavy rain, thunder, and strong winds. Stay away from low-lying areas, riverbanks, and other flood-prone regions. If you must travel, drive with caution. Roads may be slippery, and visibility can be reduced due to heavy rain. Avoid driving through flooded areas.
