A rainstorm observed over the eastern part of the northern sector is expected to drift westward to affect most places in the northern sector. The Savannah, Upper West, Northern, Northeast and Upper East regions are expected to experience moderate to heavy rains with thunder and strong winds

Stay indoors to protect yourself from heavy rain, thunder, and strong winds. Stay away from low-lying areas, riverbanks, and other flood-prone regions. Flash flooding can occur quickly. If you must travel, drive with caution. Boat operators over the Volta lake should be cautious. Roads may be slippery, and visibility can be reduced due to heavy rain.
