Event Description

A moderate to heavy rainstorm currently over the Gulf of Guimea is moving inalnd and expected to affect the eastern coast of Ghana this afternoon. The storm is expected to cast cloudiness over coastal areas and produce moderate to heavy raisn with thunder and gusty winds. Tokor, Adafienu, Aflao, Agbozume, Keta, Abor, Akatsi, Anloga, Anyanui, Ada Foah, Sogakope, Ada Kasseh and surroundings are expected to be affected between 16:00 UTC and 18:00 UTC (4:00 to 6:00 PM). Sege, Prampram, Tema, Accra, Madina, Adjen Kotoku and surroudings are also expected to experience similar conditions between 16:30 and 19:00 UTC (4:30 to 7:00 PM).

During the thunderstorm, stay indoors and away from windows, unplug electrical appliances to prevent damage from lightning strikes, and avoid using corded phones or electrical devices connected to outlets.
