Rainstorm Tracking Northern Ghana
Rainstorm Tracking Northern Ghana
Northeastern Ghana
A rainstorm is currently being observed over northeastern Ghana, affecting parts of the Northern, Upper East, and Northeast regions. The storm is generating rainfall of varying intensity, accompanied by thunder, particularly in and around Yendi, Kpatinga, Bunkpurugu, and their surrounding areas. The system is forecast to track southwestward, extending its impact to broader areas across these regions as well as parts of the Savannah and Bono East regions. Places like Bolgatanga, Kaparigu, Wulugu, Karaga, Tamale, Kpalbe, Damanko, Chamba, Salaga, and their environs are expected to experience similar conditions this morning
Residents in the affected and anticipated areas are urged to exercise caution and remain alert as the storm progresses. People are advised to stay indoors where possible, avoid low-lying and flood-prone areas, and refrain from sheltering under trees or in open spaces during periods of thunder and lightning. Motorists should drive carefully due to reduced visibility and potentially slippery road surfaces, while farmers and outdoor workers are encouraged to seek shelter immediately upon the onset of rainfall. Keep following the Ghana Meteorological Agency for updates.
