A moderate to heavy rain-bearing cloud system currently over the Volta and Oti regions is moving westward and expected to affect the Eastern, Northern, Savannah, Bono East, Bono, Ashanti, Western North regions. The Eastern, Northern and Bono East regions are expected to be affected earlier before drifting to the Ashanti, Western North and Savannah regions.

Residents in the affected areas should complete outdoor activities and secure loose items. During the thunderstorm, stay indoors and away from windows, unplug electrical appliances to prevent damage from lightning strikes, and avoid using corded phones or electrical devices connected to outlets. If caught outdoors, seek substantial shelter immediately and never take refuge under trees during lightning activity. Drivers should exercise extreme caution by reducing speed, using headlights for visibility, and avoiding flooded sections of roadway.
