Scattered Thunderstorms over the Upper regions

Upper East, Upper West, Northeast

A moderate to heavy rainstorm observed over the Upper East region is expected to intensify and move westwards to affect more areas within the region and parts of the northeast region. The storm is expected to drift later to the Upper West region. Bolgatanga, Navrongo, Sandema, Fumbisi, Walewale, Wulugu, Yagaba, Kubori, Kpasenkpe, Tumu, Bugubelle, Funsi, Yala, Wa and surroundings are expected to experience moderate to heavy rain with thunder.

Residents in the affected areas should avoid outdoor activities and secure loose items. During the thunderstorm, stay indoors and away from windows, unplug electrical appliances to prevent damage from lightning strikes, and avoid using corded phones or electrical devices connected to outlets. If caught outdoors, seek substantial shelter immediately and never take refuge under trees during lightning activity. Drivers should exercise extreme caution by reducing speed, using headlights for visibility, and avoiding flooded sections of roadway
