Squall Line over Southern Ghana

A rainstorm currently over parts of southern Ghana is expected to spread to more areas within the south. The Volta, Eastern, Ashanti, Ahafo, and Western North regions are expected to exxperience moderate to heavy rain with thunder this evening into the night.

Residents in the affected areas should avoid outdoor activities. During the thunderstorm, stay indoors and away from windows, unplug electrical appliances to prevent damage from lightning strikes, and avoid using corded phones or electrical devices connected to outlets. If caught outdoors, seek substantial shelter immediately and never take refuge under trees during lightning activity. Drivers should exercise extreme caution by reducing speed, using headlights for visibility, and avoiding flooded sections of roadway
