Thunderstorms over the southeast

Rain and thunder clouds formed over parts of the Volta and Eastern regions are expected to spread to more areas within the regions and parts of the Greater Accra region this evening. Rain of varying intensity with thunder and lightning flashes are expected over Ho, Adidome, Sogakope, Asesewa, Koforidua, Begoro, Afienya and surroundings.

Seek shelter indoors when thunder is heard or lightning is visible. Secure loose objects outside your home that could be blown away by strong winds. Postpone outdoor activities until the event ceases. If driving, slow down and use headlights for better visibility. Keep updated on weather alerts through the Ghana Meteorological Agency.
