THUNDERSTORM WITH RAIN FOR NORTHERN GHANA (UPDATE)

As mentioned in the alert issued early on, the rainstorm is currently producing thunderstorms with slight to moderate rainfall amidst cloudy conditions over the eastern parts portions of the northern sector. The rainstorm is expected to propagate and affect the western portions of the north from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Residents and motorists in the affected regions are advised to stay alert to changing weather conditions throughout the day and avoid unnecessary travel during the peak hours of the rainstorm where possible. Motorists should reduce speed, keep headlights on, and exercise caution on flood-prone roads. Farmers and traders are encouraged to secure crops, goods, and temporary structures. The public is also urged to stay away from trees and weak structures during periods of strong wind, and to monitor official updates from the Ghana Meteorological Agency for further guidance as the storm progresses.
