Thunderstorms and Rain

Northern Sector, Transition Belt and Forest Belt.

An observed rainstorm has engulfed the eastern portions of Ghana and it is anticipated to move westwards to affect the western portions of the country whiles producing moderate to heavy thunderstorms or rain. The storm is expected to induce cloudiness over southern Ghana with slight to moderate rains occurring over parts of the coast and the forest belt.

Flash floods are likely to locally affect some areas along the volta lake. Moderate to strong winds are likely to affect some areas in the north and transition belt therefore the general public is advised to stay away from weak structures.
