Thunderstorms approaching Greater Accra region

A rainstorn has elgulfed the southeastern portion of Ghana with bulk of the storm tracking over the Volta and Eastern regions. The storm is however expected to induce cloudiness over Greater Accra with rain of varying intensity and occasional thunder this evening.

Residents in this region should avoid outdoor activities in the evening. During the thunderstorm, stay indoors and away from windows, unplug electrical appliances to prevent damage from lightning strikes, and avoid using corded phones or electrical devices connected to outlets. If caught outdoors, seek substantial shelter immediately. Drivers should exercise extreme caution by reducing speed, using headlights for visibility, and avoiding flooded sections of roadway
