Thunderstorms over coastal Ghana

The rain clouds described earlier are currently producing rain of varying intensity over the eastern portion of coastal Ghana. These clouds are expected to continue producing rain over the east coast and shift to the west later this afternoon. Tema, Accra, Kokrobite, Abokobi, Senya Breku, Potsin, Essakyir, Agona Nkwanta, Sekondi, Dixcove and surroundings are expected to be affected.

Seek shelter indoors when thunder is heard or lightning is visible. Secure loose objects outside your home that could be blown away by strong winds. Postpone outdoor activities until the event ceases. If driving, slow down and use headlights for better visibility. Keep updated on weather alerts through the Ghana Meteorological Agency
