Thunderstorms over Upper West Region

Rain and thunder clouds engulfing the border between Savannah, Northern and Upper West regions are expected to drift westward to affect the Upper West region this morning into the afternoon. These clouds will produce moderate to heavy rains within the area.

Avoid going outside unless absolutely necessary. Stay indoors to protect yourself from heavy rain, thunder, and strong winds. Stay away from low-lying areas, riverbanks, and other flood-prone regions. Flash flooding can occur quickly. If you must travel, drive with caution. Roads may be slippery, and visibility can be reduced due to heavy rain. Avoid driving through flooded areas.
