Warning: Thunderstorms over Northern Ghana

Upper East , Upper West , Northern East , Northern , Savannah , Bono East , Bono

The storm referenced in the earlier alert has now engulfed the northeastern portion of Ghana. This storm is expected to persist and spread to more areas within the Upper West, Savannah and Northern regions to produce moderate to heavy rains with thunder. Areas in the Bono and Ahafo regions are also expected to be affected.

Residents in the affected regions are advised to take precautionary measures ahead of the approaching rains. Avoid outdoor activities during heavy downpours, and stay clear of flooded roads and waterways.
