Weather Alert: Moderate Rainstorm over the Transition Belt

Parts of Northern, Oti, Bono East, Volta regions

A moderate rainstorm sighted at the border of Ghana and Togo is expected to steadily produce moderate rains with thunder over some areas within Oti, Northern, Bono East, Savannah and Volta regions this evening and into the night. Some areas are likely to experience moderate to strong winds.

Carry along umbrellas and wear raincoats if you need to be outside. Motorists should drive within speed limits whiles keep headlights on and exercise caution on flood-prone roads. The public is also urged to stay away from trees and weak structures during periods of strong wind, and to monitor official updates from the Ghana Meteorological Agency for further guidance as the storm progresses.
