Weather Alert: Rain is Approaching the East Coast

Aflao, Agbozume, Anloga, Keta, Ada, Prampram

A moderate rainstorm over the coast of Togo is approaching the eastern portion of the country. This storm is expected to bring moderate rain with occasional thunder to parts of the Volta, Greater Accra and Eastern regions. The storm is expected to affect Aflao, Agbozume, Keta, Anloga before driting to Ada, Sege, Prampram and surroundings. Within the eastern region the storm is expected to produce moderate to heavy rain with gusty winds between late morning and afternoon hours.

During the thunderstorm, stay indoors and away from windows, unplug electrical appliances to prevent damage from lightning strikes, and avoid using corded phones or electrical devices connected to outlets. If caught outdoors, seek substantial shelter immediately. Drivers should exercise extreme caution by reducing speed, using headlights for visibility, and avoiding flooded sections of roadway
