Weather Alert: Rains anticipated over coastal Ghana tonight

Greater Accra , Aflao, Dzodze, Agbozume, Anloga, Keta, Akatsi

A rainstorm has been observed over the coast of Benin moving towards the west. Bulk of the storm is expected to track over the Gulf of Guinea but cast cloudiness over the east coast with a chance of rain and thunder within the area. Aflao, Keta, Anloga, Ada and surroundings are expected to experience rain of varied intensity between 9 PM and 11 PM. Other areas within Greater Accra region are also expected to experience similar conditions later in the night. There is already localized clouds producing pockets of rain within the regions.

During the thunderstorm, stay indoors and away from windows, unplug electrical appliances to prevent damage from lightning strikes, and avoid using corded phones or electrical devices connected to outlets. If caught outdoors, seek substantial shelter immediately. Drivers should exercise extreme caution by reducing speed, using headlights for visibility, and avoiding flooded sections of roadway
