Weather Alert: Thunderstorms approaching Northern Ghana

A moderate rainstorm has been observed from Burkina Faso approaching the northern portion of Ghana. This rainstorm is expected to bring rainfall of varying intensity to the Upper East, Upper West and parts of Northeast and Northern regions. The uppereast willbe affected becofe spreading to the west.

Residents in these regions should avoid outdoor activities this evening. During the thunderstorm, stay indoors and away from windows, unplug electrical appliances to prevent damage from lightning strikes, and avoid using corded phones or electrical devices connected to outlets. If caught outdoors, seek substantial shelter immediately. Drivers should exercise extreme caution by reducing speed, using headlights for visibility, and avoiding flooded sections of roadway
