A significant thunder and rain-bearing cloud system currently observed over the Ghana-Togo border is moving westward and is expected to impact multiple regions across northern Ghana today. The storm system will bring moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning. The Upper East, Northeast, and Northern regions should prepare for storm conditions between 2:30 PM and 6:00 PM today. Subsequently, the Upper West and parts of the Savannah regions will experience similar weather conditions between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM as the system continues its westward movement.

Residents in this region should avoid outdoor activities in the evening. During the thunderstorm, stay indoors and away from windows, unplug electrical appliances to prevent damage from lightning strikes, and avoid using corded phones or electrical devices connected to outlets. If caught outdoors, seek substantial shelter immediately. Drivers should exercise extreme caution by reducing speed, using headlights for visibility, and avoiding flooded sections of roadway
