A moderate to heavy rainstorm is currently moving westward across the northern half of Benin and into Togo, with the bulk of the storm activity concentrated over Burkina Faso. The system is expected to continue its westward movement, initially affecting the Upper East, North East and Northern Regions before extending to the Upper West and Savannah Regions. Moderate to heavy thunderstorms and rain are expected to affect the aforementioned areas. Gusty winds are likely to accompany the rainstorm.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions during the storm.
