Event description

A moderate to heavy rainstorm (Squall line) approaching the northern sector from Benin and Togo is expected to initially produce thunderstorms and rain of varying intensities over the north eastern portions of Ghana before drifting westwards to affect the western parts. Areas likely to be affected by the rainstorm include Upper East, North East, Northern, Savannah and Upper West regions. Portions of the transition belt, Oti, , Bono regions and the northern fringes of Ashanti region are likely to be affected as well. Gusty winds are likely to accompany the rainstorm.

Seek shelter during heavy rain and lightning, avoid open areas and isolated trees, and exercise caution while driving due to poor visibility and slippery roads.
