Weather Warning: Rainstorm over the Northern Sector

A moderate to heavy rainstorm currently engulfing the northeastern flank of the country is expected to produce thunderstorms and rain of varying intensities whiles propagating westwards to affect other areas. Gusty winds are likely to accompany the storm.

Avoid taking shelter under weak structures. Places in low lying areas are likely to experience flash floods so necessary precautions should be taken. Stay indoors if you don’t need to go outside. Motorists are advised to drive within required speed limit due to poor visibility.
