Weather Warning: Thunderstorms Observed over Northern Ghana

Localised thunder and rain bearing clouds observed over Northern Ghana have developed separately from the systems over the south. The clouds are currently inducing cloudy conditions over portions of the Northern sector with possibility of producing thunderstorms with rain of varying intensities over parts of the Northern half of the country this afternoon and into the evening.

Avoid taking shelter under trees and weak structures. Motorists should reduce speed, use headlights, and avoid crossing flooded roads or low-lying bridges. Those in flood-prone or riverside communities, particularly near Dambai and along the Oti River, should stay alert for further updates.
