Ghana Meteorological Agency Concludes Five-Day Educational Tour on Maritime and Inland Water Safety in Dzemeni

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has successfully concluded its five-day community outreach tour, educating fisherfolk in Dzemeni on Maritime and Inland Water Safety.
The tour, which began in Mepe and Ada, made stops in Kpando Torkor and Abotoase, empowering fisherfolk with vital knowledge on:
- Weather forecasting and warning signs
- Safe navigation and emergency procedures
- Forecast Verification
- Approved Dissemination Channels
The Dzemeni community commended the GMet team, for their dedication and expertise in promoting maritime safety. The team's interactive approach and practical demonstrations made a lasting impact on the participants.
The team admonished the fisherfolk to be on the lookout for the validity, the forecast area, weather summary, it’s impact and livelihood as and when they receive the forecast. The agency's commitment to maritime safety aligns with its mission to protect lives and properties.
