Ghana.gov Team Visits GMet to Introduce Government Payment Platform

Representatives from Ghana.gov on Friday, 17th October 2025, paid a working visit to the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) to introduce the Agency to the government’s centralised payment platform and take key operational staff through how the system works.

The engagement highlighted how the Ghana.gov platform serves as a unified system that enables both online and offline payment services for government agencies. It allows institutions to collect, process, and settle revenue efficiently while providing the public with a simple and secure means of making payments for government services.

The platform also gives citizens and organisations access to generate invoices, make payments, and access various services provided by government institutions. Each agency has a customised interface within the system to manage transactions and track payment activities in real time.

The visit formed part of efforts to ensure that public institutions such as GMet benefit from the convenience, transparency, and efficiency that the Ghana.gov platform offers in revenue collection and service delivery.
