GMet, DMI, and Danish Embassy Collaborate on Ghana Climate Atlas Communication Strategy

A team from the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) is currently in Ghana as part of efforts to advance the implementation of the Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC) project, with focus on developing a comprehensive communication and stakeholder engagement plan for the Ghana Climate Atlas.
The three-day engagement, running from Monday, 16th June to Wednesday, 18th June 2025, involves key partners including the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet), DMI, and the Danish Embassy in Ghana. The aim is to strengthen outreach and stakeholder involvement around the Ghana Climate Atlas, a tool developed to improve understanding of climate variability and change in the country and to establish a clear and effective communication and stakeholder engagement plan that will support the roll-out and uptake of the Climate Atlas across various user groups.
The Director-General of GMet, Dr. Eric Asuman, expressed appreciation to the Danish Meteorological Institute and the Danish Embassy in Ghana for their continued support in building the capacity of GMet staff and contributing to the development of in-house climate expertise.
This collaboration represents another step forward in enhancing Ghana’s climate services through strategic international partnerships and knowledge exchange.
