GMet Enhances Operational Capacity with Vehicle Donation to Kumasi Airport Meteorological Office

As part of activities marking the 2026 Meteorological Awareness Month, the Ghana Meteorological Agency Head Office presented a vehicle to the Kumasi Airport Meteorological Office on 18th March 2026 in Kumasi. The initiative forms part of the Agency’s efforts to strengthen operational capacity and improve service delivery across its regional offices.
The Kumasi Airport Meteorological Office plays a critical role in supporting aviation safety and providing timely weather information to key stakeholders. The addition of the vehicle is expected to enhance mobility, facilitate field operations, and improve the overall efficiency and responsiveness of meteorological services in the region.
With this support, personnel will be better equipped to maintain meteorological infrastructure, conduct operational duties, and extend outreach activities to surrounding communities. The intervention highlights the importance of logistics and resource availability in ensuring the effective delivery of accurate and timely weather information.
The donation reflects GMet’s continued commitment to equipping its offices with the necessary tools to meet growing demands. It also reinforces the Agency’s mandate to provide reliable weather and climate services in support of national development and public safety.
