GMet Receives 2023 Batch Of Interns From The Department Of Meteorology And Climate Science-Knust.

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) on 16th October 2023 received the first batch of students from the Department of Meteorology and Climate Science of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) numbering twenty-six for a 3-week internship training programme.

This is in line with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between GMet and KNUST that allows level 200 students entering 300 each year to have practical training as part of efforts to bridge the gap between academia and industry.

At a brief ceremony on Friday, 3rd November 2023 to close the first batch of training, the Ag. Director-General, Mr. Eric Asuman implored the students to apply the knowledge gained during the period in their studies. The students on their part expressed gratitude to the Agency for the knowledge impacted during the period.

Meanwhile, the 2nd batch of students (25 in number) have arrived, and the Agency is poised to deliver practical training for the next 3 weeks.
