Meteorological Awareness Month 2024 Launched

The Ghana Meteorological Agency has launched the 2nd Edition of the National Meteorological Awareness Month.

The 2024 National Meteorological Awareness Month which was launched at the Mensvic Hotel on Friday, 1st March 2024 is celebrated under the theme; “At the Frontline of Climate Action; the Early Warning for All Initiative” will highlight the pivotal role of meteorology in economic development through advocacy, education and awareness creation.

Among others, the Ghana Meteorological Agency will hold various stakeholder forums, and community engagements, establish climate clubs and hold training sessions for the media and other partners.

The Ag. Director-General who launched the initiative called on stakeholders to support the Agency in its quest to educate the public so that we can collectively mitigate the devastating effect of climate change and ensure disaster risk reduction.
