Mostly cloudy conditions with brief periods of sunshine is expected across much of the country. However, slight rain or drizzle is likely during the afternoon and evening hours within the southern half. Meanwhile, parts of the northern sector will experience variably cloudy weather with chances of thunderstorms or rain during this same period.
