Generally, sunny periods will dominate most areas in the country this afternoon. However, a moderate rainstorm located offshore Benin and Togo is expected to drift westwards to affect the marine environment of Ghana as well as triggering thunder and rain bearing clouds to produce thunderstorms and rain of varying intensities over southern Ghana from late afternoon into the evening. Areas likely to be highly affected by the rain clouds include Dzodze, Somanya, Juapong, Akropong, Aburi, Afienya, Nsawam, Dodowa, Afienya, Abokobi, Pokuase, Adjen Kotoku and environs.
