Air quality across the country is expected to show a marked North–South gradient over the next 24 hours. The Southern coastal and Forest zones are forecast to remain within the Good category, supporting normal outdoor activities. In contrast, the Transition zone spanning to the Northern sector, including Upper West, Upper East, North-East and the Northern Region, is expected to record Unhealthy for Sensitive Group to Unhealthy levels. Some members of the public may experience health effects while members of the Sensitive Group may experience more serious health effects.
