Drought conditions in Ghana's portion of the Volta Basin were mostly low, with only a few areas such as Salaga, Kpembe, Mbawunedo, Botugo and nearby communities experiencing low to moderate drought risk. In contrast, the Upper West, Upper East and parts of the Northern Region showed no drought risk. An outlook for January suggests that conditions in a few areas are likely to remain unchanged, while most other areas are expected to experience improvement.
