Mostly cloudy conditions with breaks of sunshine will dominate most parts of the country this afternoon. A rainstorm observed within the Gulf of Guinea is anticipated to move westward and trigger thunderstorms or rain along the coast and nearby inland areas. However, a separate rainstorm sighted over the north of Benin is expected to enter the country and produce thunderstorms or rain over the northern sector from afternoon into evening hours. These rain bearing systems are expected to induce cloudiness as well as thunderstorms over the middle and transition sectors.
