An active rainstorm observed over the border of northern Nigerian and Benin is expected to propagate westwards to affect portions of the North and transition belts from mid-morning into the afternoon. Mist and fog patches are expected over parts of the coast, forest, and mountainous areas early this morning amidst mostly cloudy conditions. Slight to moderate rain is likely over a few coastal areas. As day progresses, mostly cloudy with brief intervals of sunshine and thunderstorms with rain of varying intensities is anticipated to affect the coastal and the in-land areas.
