A new development of band of rain clouds are expected to produce moderate to heavy thunderstorms with rain over the Northern Sector this morning into the afternoon. Strong winds are expected to accompany the rainstorm. The storm is expected to further trigger rain clouds over Southern Ghana later in the afternoon to produce thunderstorms or rain of varying intensities. However, pockets of slight rain are anticipated for parts of the coast and forest belt this morning amidst misty conditions over high ground areas.
