May 2026 Flood and Drought Bulletin

For May 2026, SPI values indicate normal to wet conditions prevailed across most parts of southern Ghana. Wet conditions were mainly observed in the Forest and Coastal zones, with Cape Coast showing persistent extreme wetness. In contrast, parts of the Savannah and Transition zones, including Bolgatanga and Salaga, experienced mild to moderate dry conditions. Overall, southern Ghana was wetter, while parts of northern Ghana remained relatively dry.
