Rainfall Analysis June 2026
June 2026 was characterized by predominantly above normal rainfall conditions across most parts of Ghana, particularly in the southern sector, where both rainfall amounts and the number of rainy days exceeded the 1991 – 2020 climatological average. Several locations in the Greater Accra, Central, Western, Western North, Ashanti, and Volta Regions recorded exceptionally wet conditions, with rainfall totals reaching 200 – 300% of normal. In contrast, rainfall distribution in northern Ghana was more variable, with some localized areas experiencing below normal rainfall amounts and fewer rainy days.
